Illinois Attorney General Ryan Sues California Business

Illinois Attorney General Jim Ryan filed suit Thursday against a California company for allegedly enticing consumers to buy highly overpriced software by promising big money for phony computer graphic jobs.

Ryan charged that 3rd Dimension Technologies, Westlake Village; its successor corporation Motionquest, Thousand Oaks; Ray McLaine, 3rd Dimension president and Robert Crider, Motionquest manager, violated the state’s Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

The suit alleges that the defendants advertised computer graphics jobs on more than 75 different Internet job posting sites and in a Chicago newspaper.
